27th Production Car photos

Postby Starliner53 » Sun Dec 10, 2006 9:49 pm

Hello! This is my first visit to this website!
My grandfather was the editor for the Ford Times magazine in the early '50s and had a love for automobiles.
I discovered 2 photos taken in 1951 or of the 27th production Tucker for sale on a used car lot in Wayne, Michigan! I'm sure the current owner would love to see them and I would like to make arrangements to make them available.
I also discovered 2 original copies of "Tucker Topics", vol 1 number 1!

I'll keep looking to see if I can find any more Tucker items in his collection.

Sincerely,
Steve

Look at the "See a TUCKER" section, this car was rolled at Indy and is not that great of shape. Are you sure of the number of the car?

The back of one photo it is marked by my grandfather as the 27th production vehicle. There are two photos, a front and rear view.

I did see the 27th production car on this website...looks like it needs some help.

Very interesting Steve-

Is there any way you might be able to scan or copy the photos and share them with the Tucker Histoical Collection and Library? I know we'd love to see the photos and we might be able to verify the car.

Thanks,
Joe

Hello Joe,

Yes, I will make arrangements to forward either the originals or copies of the two photos of the 27th production car to the Tucker Historical Collection and Library.
Would they have any interest in the two original Tucker Topics issues?

Sincerely,
Steve

Certainly. The HCL is also a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donations would be tax deductible.

Thanks so much for your generosity!
